A suicide bombing struck a crowded mosque in The Pakistani City of Peshawar on Monday, where officials say 95 people were killed and over 150 others were wounded. The targeted mosque was located inside a police compound and most of the casualties were police officers.
Bodies were retrieved from the rubble of the mosque overnight and early today, and several of those critically injured died in hospital.
More than 300 worshippers were praying in the mosque, with more approaching, when the bomber set off his explosives vest.
Many were injured when the roof came down, according to Police Officer Zafar Khan and rescuers had to remove mounds of debris to reach worshippers still trapped under the rubble.
